What Happen To The Crashing? What happen to the crash events? The only reason I purchased this game is because of the crashes, not to see myself crash; to crash other racers and traffic into them. The Road Rage events in Burnout Revenge where excellent fun and being able to crash traffic into your opponents was just brilliant, but not in this “new” Burnout Game.

Criterion changed the whole game setup from the way EA created it and it reminds me of a Need For Speed series instead of a Burnout Series. I say they made a big mistake and I really want to return the game for my money back. To be fair the game does have some cool features like the Driver License which you earn as you beat “races” and the new muscle cars are sweet, the graphics are better, but where are the crashes, where is the traffic jam crashes? The game play is lacking!

I can’t believe they changed the game so much when the only change needed was better graphics, cool new cars, and tracks. That is all they had to do to make the award winning Burnout Revenge better, but no. Criterion had go and change the whole damn game and what a mistake they’ve made.

I don’t know of any good reason to recommend this game so just rent it to see if you like it before buying. I recommend Criterion studies to make a new Burnout Revenge or let EA make it again. Leave the “racing” games to Need For Speed or Gotham City Racing.

Sorry Criterion (the makers of Burnout Paradise, Electronic Arts made Burnout Revenge) I was disappointed with this game big time.

I was very pleasantly surprised with the way this game was created and the way it played. When first playing I was expecting just another racing game, but early on I seen it is very different from any other racing game I have ever played. Have you ever wanted to just crash in the back of some stupid driver on the road? Yeah, well in this game you can smash and crash traffic like you dreamed of. It is such a pleasure and fun to play, it also helps get the road rage out for real.

Every aspect of this game is excellent and I definitely would recommend you try this game if you haven’t already. I know it’s been out for a while now, but I felt the need for a review because this one is a classic. I was going to not review this game and just review the new Burnout Paradise, but honestly I do not know what Criterion was thinking when they made Burnout Paradise, they changed the whole game and I want my money back, but I will save that for my next review.

Burnout Revenge is a great game! It’s not co-op but it is still a blast playing with your buddy, taking turns through events building your ranking and unlocking cars is way fun.

Now go read my review on the Burnout Paradise and see why not to buy it unless you just want another racing game.

Happy Crashing!

I really loved the MX vs. ATV Unleashed on xbox and couldn’t wait for this Untamed to be released for the Xbox 360. I was pleasantly surprised and somewhat disappointed when I finally played it.

I must admit before I continue this review that I am a motocross rider and am more interested in the motocross aspect of this game. It is a great game and a definite improvement from the last version just not perfect yet.

The graphics have been upgraded for the 360 and it looks great in high definition. The dirt looks like you can reach out and touch it and the bikes and vehicles look really great.

The bike controls feel great and are much more realistic then the previous version. You actually have to use your back break to bring your front tire down when jumping in order to land smoothly and not crash. It’s allot of fun when you get in a rhythm, Love it!

It has the traditional split screen for 2 players, but why not a 4 player split screen? I know this would not be very good for smaller TV screens, but people do have larger TVs these days and a 4 player split screen would have been so much fun! I was hoping for this was going to be available, but it’s not.

I was also hoping for a more career mode for the motocross mode. I found the motocross part of the game lacking in single player mode and where are the tracks? Am I missing something or did they only make like 10 tracks? Maybe more can be unlocked that I haven’t found yet?

The game keeps some cool statistics for each track you race like best finish, top speed, missed jumps, longest jump, and best lap. This is a cool feature!

For the pro riders you can select Ricky Carmichael which is new from the previous versions and you can select the other pro riders, but no Bubba Smith, not sure why.

I did find it frustrating when you jump some jumps and go outside the bounds while in the air and getting put back for that. Some jumps are at angles and you have to go slightly our of bounds to hitthem correctly. They should have made the out-of-bounds wider for corner jumps.

This is really a great game and if you enjoy all kinds of off road racing your will love this game. And it is really fun battling with your friends on the split screen.

I am still waiting for a full fledged motocross game with an in depth career mode. But for the time being MX vs. ATV untamed will have to work and it does a good job at that.

Happy Gaming!

At first this game was frustrating because of the different perspective of aiming from most first person shooters like Halo and Call of Duty. Once you get used to the movement and aiming the game really becomes fun.

It was an enjoyable experience when playing co-op and single player. Online play has a very interesting twist where you can become a traitor to your team and switch to the other side (cop vs. criminal)

I would recommend speeding up the aiming and turning speeds for a better feel.

The most frustrating point was the REUNION (Dump Truck) level. Because of the cut scenes, which delayed game for 1 minute each time you die (they can not be skipped). The reunion level was the only level where the cut scenes interfered with the game.

REUNION (DUMP TRUCK) LEVEL TIP

The trick to the dump truck level is to keep shooting the driver. It can be done before the first pass, even on Morphine level

All in all this was a decent game and fun to play. If you have the patience to get used to the control scheme you will like this game. The graphics are ok, but not as good as they could or should have been. I would have liked to see more fog of war and environment destruction from shoot outs.

I would say rent this game and try it out some may hate it and some may love it.

I was not very excited to hear about a new Call of Duty game coming out, but when I started reading about it I changed my mind pretty fast. I decided to buy it and give it a try and I was not disappointed at all. In fact this is one of the best shooter games I have ever played and I’ve been playing shooter games for 15 years.

I am giving this game a score of 9.5 instead of a 10 just because you can not drive vehicles and no co-op play. Why do games not build co-op for local networks and online more? I think every game should come with a co-op play option.

The graphics in Call of Duty 4 blew me away when playing on a high definition screen. The detail and fog of war are some of the most realistic effects I have seen. You can shot through walls to kill your enemies, crawl under trucks to sneak around enemies, and shot enemies through cracks in walls or objects. They definitely paid attention to detail when developing this game.

The action is non stop and really gets your heart pumping. With twists and turns in the story you will have a hard time putting the controller down and once you do you will not be able to wait to pick it up again. The single player missions are excellent and when you finish the game wait for after the credits for a secret service mission

If you like Army shooter games pick this one up. You’ll enjoy every second of it.
